Benito Yrazusta: “Queja de los médicos por los que ejercen la ciencia de curar sin estar autorizados a ello” y algunos asuntos relacionados (1832)

Abstract

“A complaint for doctors who use the science of healing without being
authorized to do so.” It’s about intrusion into the medical profession reported
by Benito Yrazusta, Tolosa’s senior physician. Reference has been made to
the legislation applicable to intrusion fi les, as well as to the establishment and
regulations of the Local Health Board. The fi gure of Dr. Yrazusta is examined,
and in 1834 his report on the cholera epidemic in Alegría is reviewed.
